This piece is really nice! It's very unique and very well done! The bright colors, tho clashing, work really well together. Its just a really great piece of art.
I'll start with the background. I love the way you did the water and it adds a nice effect to it. But one thing that i would recommend is maybe adding different colors to either the sky or the water, such as some purples, pinks, or really whatever color compliments it. The background is very blue and it makes it hard to distinguish between the water and the sky. So adding different colors will help make the scenery pop out and help distinguish them and add nice detail. It should also in turn compliment the character in the foreground.
Now for the character itself. I think the character is very well done, and i dont have to much to critique. While there are some anatomical issues, they are not alarmingly wrong. You do have a good understanding of anatomy and i believe with more practice you should be able to master it. Just use references and keep practicing!
And lastly the coloring. You have a very unique coloring style with the very saturated and almost shiny colors. And the way you shade with colors that are different from one another really adds great detail and depth. Tho one thing i would recommend is perhaps holding back on the intense light effects. It becomes what i call "too busy". There is a point when the piece begins to feel like there is too much going on and makes it hard for the eye to focus on anything. Especially in areas such as the hair, its almost too intense of light and begins to take away from it. I would suggest not making it so intense so that the character feels even.
A very nice piece and very nicely done.
Please know this critique is only meant to help and suggest things you could improve upon. I don't wish to offend you or make you upset. I only want to help a fellow artist. And also know im not a professional artist so i myself have a long way to go with my art. Im not an expert.
But I hope you find this critique useful!
